| The first sites to be selected were those on
OSU or OU research land, primarily at OSU agriculture research
stations. Many sites are located on property owned by federal,
state or local government, academic institutions or foundations.
About half of the site locations are on privately owned land.
The land owners have loaned a parcel of their land - free of
charge - for use by the Mesonet. |
