of the Norman Cup Anemometer Comparison Facility (NCUP). A total of 18
different anemometers can be tested simultaneously. In addition, there
is an R. M. Young Wind Monitor and a vertical wind speed measurement.
The sensors are all at least 3 m apart. The following picture is taken
looking northeastward. The R.M. Young Wind Monitor can be seen on the
right. Two cups are left at the test site all the time while 16 other
cups are tested for approximately one week. All cups are mounted at 2
m above ground level (agl). |
